Friday, February 11, 2011 at 1:33PM I stumbled upon this trail after finding it on the Olmsted map. After some email correspondence with EBMUD, a ranger told me that the trail is now a PG&E road for maintaining their electrical towers. So, while it's not an open trail, you can at least look at the pictures.
Bear Creek Trail - Briones Reservoir
Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 1:31PM A nice way to take this hike is to drop a car at the Bear Creek staging area, then drive to Overlook staging area to start your hike. This way, you'll have a nice hike and won't have to take the return trip, unless you want to. The one way hike is about 3 miles. Here is the map.

Redwood Trail to East Ridge Trail
Tuesday, January 25, 2011 at 4:28PM This hike offers a wonderful variety of trees and trails. You'll find yourself climbing a switchback in a Redwood forest, then you'll wander the spine of East Ridge trail and enjoy some nice canopies.
